Father Required To Pay Child Support For College Age Child Until Age 21 Plus 50% Of College Expenses Per The Marital Settlement Agreement

In the child support, family law case of Leonard v. Leonard, PICS Case No. 15-0549 Marital Settlement Agreement

(C.P. Monroe, Dec 11, 2014), the Honorable Arthur Zulick ruled that the father was required to pay child support for his college-age child until age 21 in addition to 50 percent of her college expenses pursuant to the parties’ marital settlement agreement.

Plaintiff Susan Leonard and defendant Robert Leonard were married in 1989. Two children were born of the marriage, Julia and Ann. The Leonards obtained a divorce on Jan. 10, 2003. The parties signed a marital settlement agreement on Nov. 27, 2002. The MSA was incorporated, but not merged into the divorce decree.
